The 30-day trial and what happens when it ends
Not verified live: this guide has not been followed end to end against the live provider.
The 30-day trial is how every self-serve organisation starts on Yedran, because no free plan exists. This page explains what the trial includes, what you are told before it ends and what changes if nobody subscribes.
How it works
A self-serve organisation starts on the paid plan as a trial. You enter no card to begin.
- Length. The trial lasts 30 days from sign-up.
- People. The trial includes up to 3 people. Owners, admins and members each use a seat. Viewers are free and are not counted.
- Conversations. The trial includes 100 AI conversations in total. The 100 are not a monthly amount; they cover the whole trial.
- Payment. Yedran starts the trial itself. The subscription with the payment provider begins only when an owner pays from the Billing tab. A provider-side trial is not used.
To see the trial, open the account menu, select Organisation, then select the Billing tab. A message shows the end date of the trial, and the Seats area counts the seats included in the trial.
When you subscribe
An organisation that subscribes moves to the paid plan, and its usage starts from zero.
- Conversations. The first paid month counts from zero, so conversations used during the trial do not reduce it. The monthly amount and the conversation packs are in Buy seats and conversation packs.
- Reset happens once. The first payment marks the start of paid usage. Cancelling and resuming, or a late payment that recovers, does not reset the month again.
To buy seats, see Buy seats and conversation packs.
What you are told
Yedran reminds the owners and admins before the trial ends. Each reminder arrives as an in-app notice and as an email, once each.
- 7 days, 3 days and 1 day before the last day of the trial.
- On the last day itself.
- Once after the trial has ended unpaid. This notice is sent for 3 days after the end.
Each message points to the Billing tab.
What happens when the trial ends unpaid
If the trial ends without a subscription, the organisation is locked and Lucía stops writing replies. A subscription that ends later has the same effect, and it applies even inside the first 30 days.
- Sign-in. Only owners can sign in. Admins, members and viewers are refused until an owner subscribes.
- Lucía. Lucía composes no reply. She behaves as in Handoff mode: the customer gets an acknowledgement that a person is coming, and the conversation is handed over to your team. This includes conversations she was handling that month.
- Messages. Yedran still receives customer messages and stores them. An owner can read them after signing in.
- Your data. Nothing is deleted.
On the Billing tab, an owner sees that the plan is not paid. The message tells the owner to subscribe, or to contact Yedran when online payments are not set up. When an owner subscribes, sign-in and Lucía’s answers turn back on.
For the sign-in side of this lock, see Seat lock: only owners can sign in.
Who decides what
Each part of the trial belongs to one person or to Yedran.
- Owners subscribe, because only owners hold the permission to buy seats.
- Admins can read the Billing tab and receive the reminders while they can sign in. They cannot buy.
- Yedran counts the days and the conversations, applies the lock and sends the reminders. You do not set any of them.
- Contract organisations. An organisation billed by contract has no self-serve trial. Its seats and conversations are agreed in the contract.
