Sign up and complete onboarding

By the end of this guide you have a Yedran organisation, a verified email, and a console that shows what Lucía still needs from you.

Time: A few minutes. You need: A work email address you can read during sign-up, and a password that meets the rules shown on the form (see Reset your password and sign in with Google). A Google account works instead of a password when the sign-up page offers it.

1. Create your account

To create an account, open the sign-up page at /signup on the console’s address and enter your details.

  1. In Your name (optional), type your name.
  2. In Work email, type the address that will own the organisation.
  3. In Password, choose a password. The hint under the field says what it must contain.
  4. Select Continue.

You see the Check your email page. Yedran has sent a six-digit code to your address.

If the sign-up page shows a Google button, you can select it instead of typing an email and password. Google proves your address, so you skip the code in stage 2. The button appears only when Yedran’s deployment has Google sign-up set up, so you may not see it.

If you have an account, select Sign in on the sign-up page. If the Google button shows This address already has an account. Sign in with your password., sign in with your password instead.

2. Verify your email

To prove the address is yours, enter the code from the email.

  1. Open the email and copy the six-digit code. The code expires in 15 minutes.
  2. In Verification code, type the code.
  3. Select Verify and create my account.

You see the setup wizard, titled Set up your organisation. Yedran has created your organisation, your first workspace and its knowledge base, and has signed you in as the owner.

If the code does not arrive or has expired, request another code from the verification step. Each code you request replaces the earlier ones. If you typed the wrong address, select Use a different email. If you see That code is wrong or has expired., check the digits and try again. Five wrong guesses on one code use it up, so request another code after repeated mistakes.

3. Answer the setup wizard

To finish onboarding, answer the four steps of the wizard. Each step saves when you select Continue, and the wizard labels each step from step 1 to step 4.

  1. In Your details, check Your name (optional). If you came in with Google, the step also asks for a Password, so you can sign in without Google later. Select Continue.
  2. In Organisation, set Organisation name, Timezone and Language. The help text says Language is the language your agent and your customer-facing content are written in. Select Continue.
  3. In Your business, answer six questions: Country, Business sector, Team size, Conversations per month and Main goal, then How did you hear about us?. The extra field Tell us more (optional) is the only one you can leave empty. Select Finish setup.
  4. In Done, read the trial note and select Go to my console.

You see the Conversations page of the console. Finish setup stays unavailable until every question has an answer.

To go back and change an earlier step while the wizard is open, select Back.

If you leave before the end, sign in again as the owner. The wizard reopens with your earlier answers filled in. If you saved your name only, it opens at Organisation. If you saved an organisation name or the business answers, it opens at Your business.

4. Work through the setup checklist

To see what Lucía still needs, open her notebook from the account menu once the wizard is finished.

  1. Open the account menu and select Lucía’s notebook.
  2. Read the list under What I still need. It shows five items: My documents, A channel, A system mailbox, Switch me on and Your team.
  3. Select an open item. Yedran either starts a guided walkthrough for that item or opens the page where you set it up.
  4. When every item is done, the notebook says I have everything I need to work.

A ticked circle marks each finished item. The list updates from your real setup, so adding a document, connecting a channel or inviting a second person ticks the matching item.

To remove the list from the notebook, select Hide this list. Select Show to bring it back.

What you did

  • You created an organisation with a verified email, a workspace and a knowledge base.
  • You named the organisation, chose its timezone and language, and answered the business questions.
  • You started a 30-day trial with no card needed; its limits are in The 30-day trial and what happens when it ends.
  • You found the checklist that shows what to set up next.

The trial ends after 30 days. As owner, open the account menu, select Organisation, then the Billing tab, and subscribe before then to keep Lucía answering. What happens if the trial ends unpaid is in The 30-day trial and what happens when it ends.
